BEHIND THE CRAFT

The phoenix is wreathed in the myths and legends of cultures around the globe. Some say the tale of this mythical bird spun forth from Ancient Egyptian legend; the ba of Ra (The Bennu) that flew across the waters of Nun, landed upon a single rock and issued a call that brought the world into being. In other cultures this creature of the sun is said to live hundreds of years, before engulfing itself in a pyre of flame and emerging forth from the ashes anew. A symbol of eternity, strength and renewal, the Phoenix came to symbolise the Eternal City of Rome, depicted on the coins of the last Roman Empire. Like the bird itself, the tale of the phoenix endures on, even after the fall of empires. Perhaps this is because its story of rebirth and renewal is a story of hope. Hope not just for oneself, but for humanity and the world we live in.

Got the wrong size, not happy with the piece, or want to change to a different one? No worries!

1. Refunds/exchanges must be made within 30 days of receiving the package.

2. All items must be returned in the condition in which they were received, brand new, unused and inside their original packaging. (For cuffs, this means they cannot have been bent)

3. We are happy to exchange the piece for a different style, as long as the price differences are paid for.

4. Exchanges are subject to stock availability.

5. We recommend purchasing the desired exchange piece to avoid the stock selling out while we are waiting for the exchange piece to come back.

6. Sale items are non-refundable.

7. If the item has arrived damaged we must be notified within hours of the package being received.

8. We are not responsible for loss or damage during return shipment.

9. For USA orders, refunds are issued less 20% for the tariff payment.

SIZING

For a neck that is a touch masculine, we advise the 55cm and beware of the 37cm... It can choke.

Then for a more feminine neck, we advise around 44cm and below unless you’re feeling extra ‘street’.

The chart below was depicted from top-secret Nasa documents. Turns out, sometimes length and girth does matter.

All of them can be adjusted slightly.

We import 100% certified recycled sterling silver which is refined until it is 30% stronger than traditional silver, and four times more corrosion resistant. This is tested and certified.

Our oldschool matchbox-style packaging is made from 100% recycled card and printed with soy-based inks. It also includes our organic cotton bag, polishing cloth, and a little more.

PRODUCT INFO

A handmade medallion style pendant with a cable chain, forged from 100% recycled 925 sterling silver. The pendant is designed to look like an ancient coin, featuring a phoenix motif with a wreath of leaves on one side, and a portrait of Marcus Aurelius on the other. The texture of the piece is authentically ancient, telling the story of time's passage.
