Returns & Exchanges

What's your policy on exchanges?

We are down to refund or exchange our pieces for different sizes within a 30-day period of you the delivery. For more info, check out the Returns & Exchanges page.

Shipping

What's the average shipping timeline?

Your stunning craft will be shipped from beautiful Byron Bay within 24-48hrs!

Our work days are Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, so weekend orders get processed Monday.

What are the shipping costs?

All international orders over $200 come with free standard shipping. Because... We love you.

Otherwise, standard international shipping is $20 (10-30 days), or $40 on express (5-16 days).

We provide free standard shipping to all our orders within Australia (wow lucky) (5-9 business days), or $11.95 AUD for express shipping (1-4 business days). How good.

Where do you ship to?

As it is our favourite planet so far, we have decided to offer shipping to every location on Earth!

How can I file a package protection claim for a lost, damaged or stolen order?

If you added Route package protection to your order, you can file a claim at our portal page here, at claims.route.com, or through the Route app.

It's always a good idea to get package protection - it's only a couple extra bucks!

Sizing

What's my AU/EU/JP size?

We have a conversion chart here on our site that you can use to make sure your ring is snug (as a bug in a rug).

Can I get my ring resized by jeweller?

Absolutely! Many of our customers have done this and are stoked with the results. Most smiths can resize up to 2 sizes bigger or smaller.

(Just make sure the smith remembers to do a matte polish!) ❤️

Can I choose different sizes for the Three Amigos Set?

Currently, that's not something we do, because it does make it way harder to keep track of stock numbers and causes restocks to leave us with a bunch of dead crafts.

This helps us keep costs (and chaos) lower on this piece!

Packaging

What packaging will my piece come in?

Our pieces get sent to you in our hand-crafted gift boxes and eco-friendly packaging.

Each box includes a cotton polish cloth, a cotton canvas bag, care guides, plus some extras depending on the collection!

It also comes in a blank mailer bag (no branding, so it won’t ruin any surprises).

The bag itself is also a partnership with POLASTIC, which helps us pay people around the world to clean up ocean-bound plastic and recycle it!

Do the packages include an invoice?

No, they don't, making Salty Dagger crafts perfect for gifts!

How many boxes come with my order?

We do one box for every 3 pieces ordered, helping us to be more eco-friendly and sustainable.

Customs

Do you guys do custom pieces?

Not right now, as we are pretty hectic already with the orders we've got. We might in the future though.

But we are feeding off your collective creative energies as we dream up new collections, so don't be surprised if your mind-waves have guided us toward your perfect piece soon enough. Check back in a bit!

Why the sizing limit?

We craft in small batches and keep our size range very limited to bring down the costs and lead time of our pieces.

This method also helps us launch limited edition collections while keeping collection time around or under 9 months, which is epic.

Can I get a custom engraving?

We really want to offer this soon!

In the meantime, lots of places around the globe can do this for you (including your local smithies!) and will generally charge as much as we would.

So we advise sorting it there for now - snag a piece and get it engraved at your local!

Restocks

Do you restock pieces?

The only collection we continuously restock is The Timeless Collection - and even that one will evolve and be re-dreamed over time.

The rest of our collections are deliciously limited edition, getting only 1 - 3 restocks (depending on how much the homies love them).

Can I be notified about a restock?

Right now, we post about our restocks on our Instagram story. Check us out over there!

Materials

What's the quality of the materials like?

We strive to create the ultimate intersection of both quality and sustainability.

Our silver is 100% recycled and thicker than a lot of what you see on the market, making our crafts durable and eco-friendly.

Our gold pieces feature a 3.5 micron vermeil, which is also thicker than the average.

We really back our quality, and love that our pieces can last years (and lifetimes!) when cared for tenderly and with love.

Why do I have little nicks and notches on my piece?

We have poured hours into crafting these designs to be just the way they are: highlighting the story of time's passage and the beauty of imperfection.

All of the little bumps and grooves in our handmade pieces are what give life and character to the stories they hold. We think they are perfect, and we hope you do too!

Each piece and stone is also stress tested and closely inspected before being sent, ensuring it can last the test of time.

Magic

How did you guys get a wizard?

It's a long story, and it's already been a long day, so I won't get into the details.

But I will say that it involved a perilous quest, an artifact of ancient and unknowable power, an unexpected betrayal, and a dark and gloomy tower. You can fill in the blanks.

Would I do it again? Sure, for the adventure. But this is the last time I hire a wizard. People are flaky enough when they can't teleport, so you can imagine.
