This piece was the dream of a really rad human. I spent a lot of time getting the stone right. Not only is this stone hand-cut, but the aloe vera design is hand-etched into the face of it. This is a process that takes over 5 hours per stone. I I trialed a few different methods, thinking about ways to make the process simpler. I tried water cutting, laser engraving... But just couldn't get past how beautiful it looked and felt to have each stone was carved by hand, individually. So I went with it, and I'm super excited about it.
I picked jade for a few reasons. But honestly, the biggest one is that it's green. Haha.
This is the first time I've tried hand-etching a design into our gemstones and I couldn't be happier with the result. Hope you love it xx
